DISTRICT PARENT/CAREGIVER GROUPS

District Parent/Caregiver Groups

  • The Alameda Special Education Parent Support Group (ASPEDPSG) supports families, builds the ASPEDPSG community, and promotes communication within Alameda. Quarterly meetings during the school year offer an opportunity to share resources, ask questions, and build community.
  • The Albany Disability Squad advocates for the needs of students with disabilities in Albany Unified School District and creates a supportive community for their families; the Squad is working for a future in which all AUSD students have equitable access to the general education curriculum and meaningful inclusion in their school community.
  • BSPED is an informal parent and caregiver support group for parents and caregivers of children with special education (504/IEP) needs in Berkeley Unified School District public schools. We are primarily organized via a long-enduring email discussion list. Send a request to join the active, moderated list by emailing [email protected].
  • PIE is a parent-led organization that works in partnership with the Piedmont Unified School District in Piedmont, California and other parent groups to create a supportive and inclusive environment for students with disabilities and learning differences, as well as their families.
